At mmckimm designs, you will discover a showcase of 3D models that are created upon the ideas and concepts of
my own and to those that I take inspiration, so I can envision something else that fits a need and be unique,
as there's something about refining and making modifications to designs in 3d modelling that is quite enjoyable.
Since learning the tools to draw and progress to the online digital platforms, this has enabled many people to
discover new ways of developing their ideas while interacting with others; to go on to promote themselves amongst
the world's audience.
And this is what I also intend to do with the opportunity discovered and shared to you on this site.
3D printing has allowed us to expand into other fields of mechanical and more so physical model production capabilities.
So when the time arises, and I have something to show the world, this will be the place to see it first.

Designed and appraised by diamond painter friends, the trays that I design help improve your placement and handling of both square and round drills for a better alignment onto the canvas.
Integrating a unique arched canopy design assists when pouring out your drills to prevent spillage.
There is also improved line width and channel spacing to accommodate for deformed drill movement.
All trays are equipped with ergonomic sidewalls for maintaining a solid grip, while also maintaining a lightweight and sturdy construction.
There are two different tray lengths to choose from. They are sized with a 15mm wall height for the main tray body, 70mm wide and a moderate 100mm tray length, or an extended length version being 50mm longer for more drill picking area.
Both trays can come with a removable sliding lid that makes it safer to store your drills. And each tray has a removable plug to seal close the pouring spout.
There are also Bonus Square Drill Dishes, one with regular lines and the other with a flat surface to handle custom sized drills.
Also there's a smaller round drill dish with no lines that can be used for selecting a smaller amount of drills.
You may need to do some light sanding on the drill tray plug and funnel walls to remove the leftover print support material, however there is a drill tray plug (version two) that fits better if no print support is used when printing the tray.

There are 45 containers that you rotate around a spin plate to organize them one at a time on the carousel platform.
Each container is designed to fit around 800 drills, made from two joining pieces conveniently designed for easy cleaning and drill dispensing. They are positioned and spaced evenly to align to the top mounted container funnel fill hole.
Dispense your drills using individual braced container holders that slide out 10 mm to dispense the drills below into your drill tray and then push back in to close off the pouring action. The carousel has a rugged construction built around a central column, the round shape allows for a small footprint on your desk to casually switch between the drill containers.
There are 3 built-in pen holders (the widest being 20 mm), a mini tray for exchangeable pen tips, and a removable waste container compartment at the top of the central column.
It is designed to accommodate for smaller 3D printer build plates (220+ mm x 220+ mm), therefore it prints into fully custom modulated pieces that allows you to easily glue each piece together. The modulated plate construction pieces that are shown also come modeled as a solid joint piece as a convenience for those with a 3D printer that have a build plate of 300mm x 300mm and greater.
At the base you can attach a left and right grip handle for holding onto to assist turning the spin plate container into its dispense position.
As an optional accessory there are straight and tilted panels that can be attached at the top which you can clip on your drill symbol charts. It is perfect to print out multiple carousels ready for working on separate canvases.
The assembly and user image guides with part information, notes and suggested print instructions are inside the .zip file.
A supplementary lidded drill tray with a bonus dish is included in this package, which has a 15 mm side wall height. The clearance to insert other trays is just under 75 mm wide with a 20 mm side wall height limit.
Note that any of the display images may differ slightly from the actual model files if there are updates to the model files after the initial release.
Because this model is made from sliding plastic, there may be conditions that can lead to some static in some environments. To help prevent this, it is recommended to lightly tap on top of the lid or the front of the container holder after dispensing the drills to make sure the base funnel is clear from any stray drill pieces.
Dimensions: 167.65 mm High x 300 mm Wide
Weight (Approx): 2.8 KG
It is recommended to print the parts using ABS (preferable) or PLA filaments on a PEI smooth build plate, which is what was used in this design.
Choose to print from either of the two Bathroom Sink Caddy Organizer sizes that will suit both a smaller and larger width
mixer-tap basin.
There are provisions as shown in the images that allow for storing many common accessories, such as:
- lubricants in round tubes (up to 50mm wide),
- a toothpaste tube and 4 tooth brushes,
- combs,
- a razor,
- an electric trimmer (and a swappable head fixture holder),
- a few lipstick tubes,
- up to 2 rectangular lotion or perfume bottles,
- nail clippers and tweezers,
- a plug holder and soap bar with a drain tray.
Each model comes with 2 pull out drip tray drawers that are used to capture any water or liquid run off from the tooth brushes, the plug chamber or the soap bar holder. They also utilize an overflow funnel to disperse liquid for whenever the drawer becomes full.
The larger dual piece model is 50 cm x 10 cm, and comes as two separate files that build the whole body when both parts are glued together at one area in the middle, while using a printers build plate size of 256 x 256 x 256mm or higher is required.
The smaller single piece model is 30cm x 10cm, and requires a 300 x 300 x 300mm build plate size (unless you print the two "cut in half" left and right side files included in the folder , which allow you to print each half to glue together later using a smaller build plate size.)

Displayed models are printed using White ABS. PETG and PLA+ filaments are fine to use.
A Kitchen Sink Caddy Organizer to suit your standard mixer-tap double basin.
There are provisions as shown in the display and model images that allow for storing:
- A sponge (sized to 100mm x 75mm or less),
- Rectangular based Dish Washing Liquid Bottle (100mm length x 50mm wide),
- Single Plug holder,
- Spare area spaced for a cup or bottle, etc, (75mm Diameter).
The sponge, liquid bottle and plug holder have drain cavities that are designed to flow from the front bottom surface into the sink basins.
To allow for printing on smaller build plates (220 x 220 x 220mm and larger), the model comes either divided into two separate left and right pieces that can be glued in the middle to form a solid piece, or if you have access to a printer with a build plate of 300 x 300 x 300mm or greater, then there is a solid one piece complete model file to use.
Dimensions for the model are: 110mm Wide, 280mm Length, and 55mm in Height.

This foldable coat hanger is designed for you to place multiple ones easily in a luggage bag or backpack.
It is designed with short (433mm) and a long (496mm) set of arm lengths to select depending on what size clothing you would like to hang.
The arms fold up even further to suit toddler and small childrens sized apparel.
There is also a cover that you would attach to protect the hanger arms when stored.
See images that demonstrate an assembly guide and the arm width comparisons. (All model files are zipped, which include images of assembly and operation step guides as shown in photos.)

Most of the models that I make are self explanatory when it comes to printing them.
Some of my designs are more modular in nature, so I will always provide the details within the download files that explain the procedure of assembly and
part information guides.
For the most part, when it comes to gluing, I would use the standard modelling glues and sometimes I will
experiment with stronger bonding pvc glues that tend to dry quite fast aswell.
And for printer filaments, I tend to use the basic ABS and PLA+ types to prototype, and go on to use for final
production.
